WHAT IS A WORMBOARD?
We call the Wormboard “the convenient cruiser”. It is 4.25”x32”. The length is that of a classic skateboard deck so the difference lies in the width. At 4.25” inches, the width offers the rider the perfect balance during rides. Since your feet have to be along the center line of the skateboard in order to have good balance, it takes little to no time to find your center on the narrow Wormboard. Thus, riding a Wormboard is easy for anyone new to skateboarding.
But, the Wormboard is not only for the beginner, it is also perfect for riders of all skill levels looking for the relaxing ride of a cruiser board in a more convenient and environmentally-friendly deck. And with holes drilled at each end of the deck, the Wormboard is easy to hold, easy to lock up with a bike lock, and easy to strap or stow in a backpack.

We are stoked to announce our partnership with Madrid Skateboards. Since they are (slightly) older than we are we’ve been enjoying their decks our entire lives. And as 40-something year old fellas, we are proud to see Marty McFly on his Madrid board in the movie Back to the Future, as well as seeing the “kids” on Stranger Things occasionally riding their Madrid decks on the show. In the time it originally took us to make 10 boards in our own woodshop, Madrid can send us hundreds of our wormboard decks made in their factory in Huntington Beach California!
We spent a lot of time trying out different trucks, wheels, and bearings to complete the Wormboard. We want the ride to offer the peaceful easy feeling of a great cruiser board, so we’re proud to have landed on Cadillac White Wall wheels (59mm 78A) and Cadillac bearings. The wheels are just large enough and just soft enough to offer a ride as smooth as a worm’s butt. And the Cadillac bearings keep the board cruising with minimal effort.

Unlike many other decks in the “Mini-Cruiser” class of skateboards, the Wormboard is not made of plastic. Plastic has such a negative environmental impact that our company tries to avoid it as much as possible. The dimensions of our 7-ply maple deck is half of that of a classic skateboard and as a result uses half the wood. However, we want to further reduce the impact of using our most precious resource so Wormboards partners with One Tree Planted to ensure that one tree is planted for EVERY WORMBOARD we sell!
